Enter if you dare!

The old barn at the Claudelands Showgrounds has lain derelict for many
years.  The groundsmen say it is haunted.  No one dares venture there
after dark because of the grisly wails and spooky moans that ring out
across the Showgrounds around the time of the full moon.

But at this year’s Show, the gates to the barn will be flung open for
two nights only.

Friday night will see Friday Fright Night, a hideous menagerie of
ghosts, ghouls, spirits and freaks contorting their limbs to
glam-rockers Rose Petals and Confetti.  Come to the Show on Friday
night dressed as a ghoul and get in for half price – the scarier the
better, because at 7pm the costumes will be judged, with great prizes
for the most alarming.

Saturday night will see the Barn’s foundations rock to the classic
metal stylings of Hamilton’s own Metallica tribute band, Damage Inc.

Gates open at 6pm both nights, with fire performances at 7.30.  Bands
start at 8.

*These events are open to the brave and adventurous.  They will not be
suitable for children.
