WAIKATO WINTER SHOW ARTISANS

The Waikato region is home to many Artisans whose expertise covers the
fine art tradition of painting through to the more indigenous art
forms of Whakairo (Maori carving) and Harakeke (flax weaving)

This year The Winter Show is giving you an opportunity to meet some of
these talented local Artisans and view their work.  Come and see works
including Jo Pervan’s stone sculpture, the intricate and beautiful
Harakeke work of Neville and Te Aroha Te Huia, and the stunning metal
sculpture of Marti Wong, as well as painters, ceramic artists, mosaic
makers and photographers.

This is a unique opportunity to see our local art makers at work and
to talk to them about their work, so don’t be shy!
